Welcome to the global hatch shrimp report

Hatch's mission is to support entrepreneurs to commercialize their innovative solutions in the global aquaculture market. We recognize that is often difficult for entrepreneurs to understand the aquaculture market. Spread across several difficult-to-reach regions, farming systems with numerous species are operated by farmers speaking many different languages.

Shrimp aquaculture is often targeted by entrepreneurs as an initial market due to its size and profit margin. With this project, we aim to help entrepreneurs to quickly and efficiently understand the reality of the shrimp market so as to remove the need for them to travel to several countries or to pay expensive consultants. We hope that it offers valuable insight, which then leads to the development of better products, services, and business models. These in turn will make the shrimp aquaculture more efficient, productive, and sustainable. We also hope that the information presented will be valuable to investors and farmers.
